To Do

I am currently reading this book, How to Get From Where You Are to Where You Want to Be by Jack Canfield, and he emphasized the importance of Getting What I Want (that is Principle No 3 by the way and there are 25 principles in all, I'm kinda slow, I know) so, he asks me (the reader) to write down 30 things that I want to do and here they are:

1. Bungee jumping (at least once in my life I know that I have done something that scares the socks out of me).

2. Run and finish a marathon (I've joined once or twice but never completed any, I am THAT bad at running).

3. Climb Mount Kinabalu (this has been a dream for as long as I remember and yet I have never successfully done it. This time, I'm putting it on my blog so that I surely won't put it off).

4. Enroll and complete my PhD (every since I kid, I know that I want to get a PhD, the downside of having two professors as parents, but hey, if they can do it, why can't I?).

5. Craft a ketupat (from scratch).

6. Cook chicken curry (I've only attempted this once and I failed, I am hopeless like that, I know, but I will try again).

7. Volunteer for a charity (or maybe be an active member).

8. Travel to New York (all those Sex and the City and Gossip Girl episodes really makes me want to see New York, y'know).

9. Travel to Paris (the capital of fashion, Eiffel Tower, Louvre *dreamy sigh*).

10. Travel to Tokyo (Harajuku anyone?) or maybe Seoul (Gangnam anyone?)

11. Travel to Milan (or maybe a euro trip would be better).

12. I want to be a mother (a scary notion for me, but hey, even becoming a wife was a scary notion and now look where I am, right?)

13. I want to go for Hajj (insyaAllah very, very soon. This is at the top of my list of priorities of things to do).

14. I want to go for Umrah and Ziarah (the umrah package that visits Istanbul, Egypt and other places in the Middle East sounds nice).

15. I want to see the oldest Quran (it's in Tashkent, Uzbekistan if I'm not mistaken, and it's thought to be the Quran that was read by Khalifa Uthman before he was murdered).

16. I want to memorize the Quran (or if I can't at least understand the meaning of the chapters and verses).

17. I want to give motivational speeches (I always love giving speeches so, I think I'm going to work on that).

18. I want to run my own company (I currently have two business ventures but what I want is something bigger).

19. I want to be an inspiring leader (I find that although I am a good team member, I have not reached to the level of being a good leader, I will insyaAllah).

20. I want to be a good wife (thank you Allah for granting me a good husband and I hope to be as good a wife to him).

21. Visit Mulu Caves (a World Heritage Site at my own backyard, I should have made this my first traveling spot before going overseas, you know?)

22. Travel to Australia and experience a few places down under =).

23. Visit all the seven wonders of the world: the pyramids of Giza, the Great Wall of China, the Taj Mahal, Hagia Sophia, the leaning Tower of Pisa, Christ the Redeemer in Brazil and the Colosseum in Rome.

24. Scuba diving at our very own Semporna and Mabul Island in Sabah, or Palawan Islands in the Philippines or Lombok in Indonesia.

25. Travel to Spain and visit the famed La Sagrada Familia.

26. Visit Palestine and see the places that were mentioned in the Koran.

Boy it is really hard to come up with a list of 30 things to do so I'm leaving it as it is for now and will update this page regularly. And let's see if I can achieve all those things that I've set to achieve! This is way cooler than having a New Year's resolution.

Me, a work-in-progress.

xoxo Mrs Fashionista
